We are a TICA registered savannah cat cattery and breeder. Our kittens are healthy, happy and well-socialized!
Lowplaces is a small farm nestled between the mountains of East Tennessee. I have been breeding Savannahs since 2004, for pet and show, with a select few for breeding. I owned an African serval as a pet before I discovered the Savannah breed, and I wanted to share the beauty and unique personality of the serval with people who could not have one because of local laws or urban lifestyle. I have worked with many of the early Savannah breeders to develop the current breed standard, and showed some of the first Savannahs in the TICA Southeast Region, when we were still Provisional and Advanced New Breed.
Savannah breeding is a labor of love for me, and I produce only a few litters per year, which are raised in my home, with the goal of placing them in the best forever homes.
I discovered servals a few years ago, while still living in California, and got on a waiting list as soon as I knew we were moving to Tennessee, where servals are legal. Shortly after, I discovered Savannah cats and wanted to share the beauty and unique personality of the serval with people who could not have one because of local laws or urban lifestyle. We do not plan to make a profit, but we have been using our proceeds to help with cat rescue. We are helping with some private, non-profit cat and dog foster homes.
